New Features and Apologies

Hello again everyone.  I seem to have been doing my best Gandalf impersonations as of late.  Jadrien and I keep disappearing without a trace.  Our episodes have been sporadic with a few additions and then weeks of absence.   I will formally apologize for the lack of updates to this website and try to explain.

Although many of us would like to forget about it completely, real life still goes on.  We were in the process of trying to move to Seattle when nothing worked out like we would have liked.  We have since begun the process of moving to a city in Tennessee.  Things are going even less as planned.  It is difficult to find housing and employment in this area.  However, we are getting closer to settling down in one place.  To that end, I have been spending most of my free time interviewing for jobs, scouting out places to start my own business, and constantly visiting craigslist and real-estate sites for a home.  Therefore, you can see why our updates have been irregular.

There are currently two completed episodes that have not been finished yet.  The first one is “How to be the best Lore-master in the game.”  The second is an episode that will probably be completely dropped because it was involving the announcement of Siege of Mirkwood.  I know, ground-breaking stuff right?

The problem I am faced with is the fact that we move from place to place, Seattle, Tennessee, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, on and on… and on.  I am thinking of writing a book called “There and back again, and again, and again, and again, and again.”  Finding an adequate space for podcast recording is tough.  Therefore, I am going to allow a branches to grow off of this formerly branchless tree.

First, I am going to branch out into more topics than just the instance runs.  I have found many people love the instruction, and we will continue to do them.  However, there is so much more to discuss in LOTRO that many of our listeners have e-mailed asking for broader topics.  We will be adding those some time in the near (hopefully) future.

Secondly, I am going to branch out from the podcast-only format of this website and bring in another passion of mine. Blogging.  I have a lot of blogs that I have neglected but no other subject captivates my brain like LOTR.  I am addicted, I know.  This is a plus for those of you that have been thinking of /slap when they look us up on iTunes or this website.   I am going to add a category for the blog entries.  I hope you will enjoy them.

This will allow me to keep information flowing without the pressure to find a studio-quality environment to put out a quality podcast.  If you have any suggestions or comments, just let me know and thanks for listening and reading.
